Posts: 23 | Eating consciously means 1) not eating with any distractions (like tv, radio, reading, etc) 2) chewing each bite at least 20 times 3) putting down your fork between each bite 4) meditating on the taste of the food and really enjoying it 5) monitoring the feeling in your stomach to see if you feel full 6) when you think you feel full, even if you are not certain, stopping eating. Remember,if you are hungry again in 10 minutes you can always eat more. So, does that clear it up for you????? ![]() |

Posts: 23 | well, not sure if it is funny or not, but I am one of those fat people who eat and totally zone out. All of a sudden, an entire bag of chips will be gone and I won't remember eating them. So, I personally feel that the word "Consciously" is a good one. But, use what ever words make you comfortable as long as you pay attention while eating. ![]() |
